Terms for parents and guardians
The extra terms that apply to parent and guardian accounts.
Terms for parents and guardians
These terms apply to parent and guardian accounts. They add to the Terms of Service, which still apply in full.
This is a working draft for EduPress and should be reviewed by a qualified legal adviser before formal adoption.
1. Who you are
1.1 You confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of every child you link to, or create an account for, and that you have the right to act for them.
1.2 You must describe your relationship to the child truthfully: mother, father, guardian or another relative.
2. Accounts you create for a child
2.1 When you create an account for your child, you are responsible for it and for the details you give about your child.
2.2 Your child's school decides whether to approve the child's request to join.
3. Links and consent
3.1 A link to a child you create at sign-up starts straight away. A link to an existing account starts only after the school approves your request and your child acknowledges it, and lasts while your child keeps that acknowledgement. The school also verifies each link before you can see your child's summary.
3.2 When you allow your child to message a business or a school, or agree to an employer receiving your child's contact details, your consent covers only that business, that school or that application.
3.3 You can withdraw consent at any time.
4. What you may do with what you see
4.1 Use the information, alerts and school replies EduPress gives you about your child only to look after your child's welfare and education.
4.2 Do not share them publicly.
5. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time, as explained in Your account and your data. EduPress may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the community guidelines.
