Terms for students
The extra terms that apply to student accounts.
Terms for students
These terms apply to student accounts. They add to the Terms of Service, which still apply in full. Where the two differ, these terms apply to student accounts.
This is a working draft for EduPress and should be reviewed by a qualified legal adviser before formal adoption.
1. Who can have a student account
1.1 You must be at least 13 to create your own account. A younger child's account must be created and held by a parent or guardian.
1.2 You must give your real date of birth and accurate details about yourself and your school.
1.3 If you sign up as a student in the app, you must verify your identity with your school ID card and a selfie within 30 days, unless your school confirms you first. Until then, EduPress may limit your account.
1.4 You may belong to one school at a time, and the school decides whether to approve your request to join.
2. Keeping your account safe
2.1 Keep your password private. Do not let anyone else use your account.
2.2 You must not use someone else's ID card or photo, or let your ID card or photo be used for another account.
3. How you use EduPress
3.1 Follow the community guidelines and your school's rules.
3.2 Do not use EduPress to cheat in school work or exams.
3.3 Only post photos or information about other people if you have their permission.
4. Payments
4.1 If you buy Tyra message packs or give to a fundraiser, you confirm the payment with your PIN on the paying phone.
4.2 Make sure you have permission from whoever owns that phone.
5. If you are under 18
The protections in Keeping young people safe apply to your account automatically. Your guardian may be told about some things you do, as that page explains. You may message a school only while a guardian allows that school; your guardian is told what the school replies, and school messages are text only.
6. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time, as explained in Your account and your data. EduPress may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
