Why EduPress exists
Most schools in Uganda share their news on Facebook and WhatsApp. Neither was made for children, and both turn away anyone under 13. We built EduPress so a school can have its own page without putting its pupils in front of strangers or advertisers.
How we work
We say plainly what’s ready. Our Safety page lists every promise we make to children and families, and marks the ones we’re still building.
- We follow Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 and the Children Act, and design for children against the UK Age Appropriate Design Code.
- Children never see adverts, and we don’t sell anyone’s data.
- A school owns what it publishes.

EduPress is run by the Philanthropic Community Organisation.
